A STEP IN NEW YORK
CITY SOULS
In March, in New York City, we set out to capture more than a moment — a way of living.
Through intimate encounters and spontaneous moments, we followed inspiring personalities within their own world: at home, in the streets they know by heart, moving through the rhythm of their everyday rituals.
More than a campaign, this project reflects our vision of elegance — personal, effortless and lived-in. A quiet dialogue between the city, the people who inhabit it, and the shoes that accompany them every day.
From downtown mornings to late city walks, New York became the backdrop of a story about movement, character and individuality.

RICHARD - THE ARTIST BETWEEN NEW YORK AND PARIS
Meet Richard, a New York–based artist born in Panama, whose connection to the city began long before he arrived—through childhood dreams of reading The New York Times and imagining a life in New York.
Today, the city continues to shape his creative world, though he often finds balance in Paris, which he describes as a counterpoint with a more “masculine–feminine energy.” Introduced to Jacques Solovière by friend Steve Gonzalez, he now wears the Alexis Brown and black derbies, each reflecting a different facet of his style.
For Richard, the sandals evoke Cubism—like Picasso or Juan Gris—“all lines and shapes,” while his imagined soundtrack is Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin: timeless, understated, and iconic.
In his practice, he moves instinctively between materials rather than colors, currently drawn to French paper discovered during a lithography residency in Copenhagen. Effortless, thoughtful, and deeply creative, Richard embodies a quiet artistic clarity.

DEREK - FILMMAKER AND STORYTELLER IN NEW YORK CITY
Born in Washington D.C., raised in Bangkok, and now based in New York City, Derek works full-time in films and production. His perspective is shaped by movement, culture, and the energy of the cities he has called home. What started as a personal reset eventually became a new chapter in New York, where he has spent the last eleven years growing both creatively and personally. Through his cinematic eye, Derek captures the rhythm, architecture, and atmosphere of the city from above — transforming everyday urban moments into visual narratives filled with light, structure, and emotion.

CHALISSE - COLLECTOR, CURATOR, STORYTELLER
Originally from Jersey City and now based full-time in New York, Chalisse Burrell is a collector, curator, and studio manager with a deep appreciation for objects that carry emotion and character. After years spent moving between New Jersey and the city she always loved, she built a life around sourcing and selling one-of-a-kind pieces while working alongside an artist in Greenpoint. Her eye is instinctive and deeply personal — drawn to objects that evoke an immediate feeling, whether a 1970s Brutalist chandelier or a perfectly worn pair of Jacques Solovière shoes. Inspired by Art Deco and the sleek boldness of Streamline Moderne, Chalisse approaches collecting as both intuition and storytelling, shaped by the constant inspiration of New York City.

AN - BETWEEN PARIS ROOTS AND NEW YORK LIFE
Meet An, Paris-born with Vietnamese roots, who has called New York home for over two decades. Shaped by a quiet blend of French and Vietnamese influences, he moved to the city in the early 2000s to pursue a long-held ambition, beginning his career in finance.
For An, New York is defined less by places than by atmosphere—“great interaction, great conversation”—the spontaneous exchanges that make the city feel alive. Through friends including Marilou Daubé and Pierre Jeand’heur, he discovered Jacques Solovière and now wears styles such as the Fleurus, Eduard Lug, and Matt New Black, which reflect his understated taste.
His connection to the brand also translates into culture and imagination: Téléphone’s “Un autre monde” and “New York avec toi” capture his Franco-New York identity, while he describes his shoes as a trompe-l’œil dessert—unexpected yet carefully crafted.
In daily life, An is drawn to unpretentious, hidden places where simplicity and intention define the experience.

PIERRE - PARIS ROOTS, NEW YORK SOUL
Pierre, long-time friend of Alexia and devoted wearer of Jacques Solovière. Born and raised in Paris, he moved to New York not for work, but for love, following his then-girlfriend after art school.
Over time, the city became home and shaped his outlook—where “listening more than you talk is a good start” defines his idea of good taste more than aesthetics. A friend of the brand since its early days, Pierre has built a collection of around ten pairs, including the Hervé Sneaker, Slim Black, Lex Raffia, and Edouard Black, with favorites like the Rasmus and Tommy Lug in hairy calf.
For him, Jacques Solovière resonates like John Coltrane’s A Love Supreme: timeless, elegant, with a subtle edge. In New York, he gravitates toward simple pleasures—sunny apéritifs with friends, music, and honest moments—often returning to Eagle Street Rooftop Farm, a place he loves for its local spirit.
For Pierre, it’s these everyday instants that matter most—simple, shared, and quietly timeless.
