CARE Suede calf
PROPERTIES
Suede calf leather is distinguished by its soft, velvety texture and matte finish. Delicate to the touch, it embodies a relaxed yet refined elegance.
More sensitive than full-grain leather, suede is prone to discoloration through abrasion and can absorb moisture and stains easily. Its natural finish may transfer color when in contact with light-colored fabrics, especially when wet.
CARE
To preserve its beauty, suede requires gentle and regular care.
Use a suede brush to remove surface dust and revive the texture. Always brush in the same direction to maintain a uniform appearance.
For deeper stains or marks, use a suede eraser or a clean cloth lightly dampened with a dedicated suede cleaner. Never apply liquid products directly to the leather. Always test any product on an inconspicuous area first.
Avoid water exposure. If the suede becomes wet, allow it to dry naturally, away from heat. Once dry, brush gently to restore the grain.
To nourish and protect, apply a water and stain-repellent spray specifically designed for suede leather. Repeat regularly.
We recommend inserting cedar shoe trees between wears to absorb moisture and maintain the shape of the shoe.
Always store your suede shoes in their dust bags, in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
