This type of leather is not water-resistant, is prone to stain & water damage, and risks the possibility of discoloration. When exposed to rain, dry with a cloth as soon as possible. If severely soaked, put newsprint paper into the shoes to absorb water and prevent it from warping. Store in a cool dry place. High-temperature drying methods (i.e., a hair dryer) should never be used, which may cause the leather to harden, crack, or warp. Light stains can be cleaned with a dry cloth. We recommend you to use a cream.
PROPERTIES
Textile uppers such as raffia, gros grain, or wool offer a tactile, natural elegance with subtle texture and seasonal appeal.
These materials are more sensitive to moisture and friction than leather and require specific care to maintain their appearance and structure.
CARE
Textile fabrics are not water-resistant and should be protected from rain or prolonged humidity. If wet, blot gently with a clean cloth as soon as possible. For heavier exposure, fill the shoes with paper (non-printed) to absorb moisture and help retain shape.
Avoid heat sources such as hair dryers or radiators, which may cause shrinkage or deformation.
Dust and surface particles can be removed with a soft brush. For raffia and gros grain, brush delicately in the direction of the weave.
For wool, use a fabric brush with soft bristles to revive the fibers.
To preserve the condition of the shoe, store in a cool, dry place with cedar shoe trees, and always use the dust bags provided.
A light protective fabric spray may be applied before first use, but always test on a discreet area first.
