Alexia Aubert
“The challenge is to develop a new classic that doesn't already exist on the market—but that seems as if it had always been there.”
Parisian-born designer and entrepreneur Alexia Aubert has built a successful international career around footwear design. She began as an assistant at Christian Louboutin in 2004, and went on to be head of studio at Pierre Hardy, sketching shoes for both men and women. In 2010, she oversaw the transformation of Oscar de la Renta footwear from licensing into an in-house line.
Her expertise in design and product development is complemented by her understanding of Italian craftsmanship and her long-established relationships with Italian factories. Her specialization in unisex designs tapped into the genderless zeitgeist even before it became a widespread fashion trend—and remains an essential part of her brand DNA. Having done consulting work for labels like Elie Saab, Mulberry, Balmain, and Leonard, she realized it was set up her own consulting studio.
Marlène Mangin
“The simpler the shoe is visually, the more complicated it is to develop, and to get right.”
Marlène Mangin studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Lyon, specializing in print design, which has honed her exceptional skill for rendering intricate details with meticulous precision. She possesses outstanding technical expertise, mastering the creation of patterns from A to Z and working confidently across all shoe typologies, from pumps to sneakers.
Since 2015, Marlène has been Alexia Aubert’s indispensable right-hand and a valued partner in the development of Jacques Solovière Paris. Today, she oversees the artistic direction of the maison, shaping its visual identity, campaigns, and overall image. She is involved in every facet of the brand: conducting iconographic research and moodboard development, sketching and developing collections, creating prints on leather, sourcing materials from Italian and Portuguese suppliers, and supervising prototypes across different factories.
Her vision ensures that every detail—both creative and technical—reflects the refined aesthetic and enduring quality that define Jacques Solovière Paris.
Alexander Paez Guerra
“A shoe is composed of many puzzle pieces, of varied techniques—that’s why the level of expertise in this sector is so high.”
Cuban-born Alexander Paez Guerra began his career in luxury retail in 2010, working with brands such as Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Marc Jacobs, and Céline. He joined Jacques Solovière Paris in 2016 and is now responsible for wholesale and export, overseeing the brand’s international development.
From the beginning, Alexander worked closely on the ground, spending time in factories in Italy and Portugal, where he developed a deep understanding of shoe craftsmanship and quality. His hands-on experience fostered a profound appreciation for every stage of production, from the selection of materials to the smallest details in construction.
Passionate about shoes, design, and the art of making, Alexander now presents the collections and directs the sales showroom, ensuring that every client and partner experiences the precision, elegance, and refinement that define Jacques Solovière Paris
